A  Christmas celebration was organised at  Karnataka College of Pharmacy, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the season’s spirit of joy, peace, and goodwill. Students and staff meticulously planned the event and each segment was filled with festive cheer and enthusiasm.

The celebration began with a serene prayer song, setting the tone for the day and reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas. The first-year Pharm D student Esther Biju sang the prayer song, creating a calm and spiritual atmosphere for the event.

The program continued with a warm welcome speech, delivered by Dr Baggiya Selvi, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to gather as a  KCP family and celebrate the festive occasion. The speech highlighted the significance of Christmas as a time of love, unity, and sharing.

Following the welcome speech, an engaging game (activity) was conducted by the Intercollegiate Prayer Fellowship (ICPF) team. The activity involved interactive games and a brief session, with students participating eagerly.

A group of talented students from the first PharmD performed a heartwarming musical skit that depicted the love of God for mankind and how subtly evil forces cause human beings to wander away from the Creator. The nativity story with a modern twist, was a hit among all attendees, combining traditional elements with creative storytelling. The performances, complemented by beautiful music and costumes, captivated the audience

The BPharm and PharmD students showcased their energetic and colourful dance performances, celebrating the festive spirit through traditional and contemporary Christmas music. The lively choreography and vibrant costumes filled the room with joy and energy, and the audience cheered enthusiastically.

Brother Blesson, a respected member of the ICPF team, a Software Engineer by profession and also a student Counsellor delivered an inspiring Christmas message. Br. Blesson’s message was a poignant reminder of the true spirit of Christmas encouraging everyone to spread the joy of Christmas beyond the celebration and into their everyday lives. His message resonated with everyone present, reminding them of the deeper values of the season and what the birth of Jesus Christ means to mankind.

The Secretary of the Karnataka Education Trust, Professor Basavaraj Ramnal and Mrs Suvarna Basavaraj, Chairman, KET graced the occasion with their presence. Heartfelt Christmas greetings to the entire KCP family were delivered by our Honourable Secretary Sir  Prof Basavaraj Ramnaland Dr K Ramesh, Director of KCP. They wished the students, staff, and faculty a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Their words filled the room with warmth and positivity.

The cake-cutting ceremony highlighted the celebration, which added to the joyous occasion. The cake was shared among all present, symbolizing the unity and togetherness of the college community. Following the cake-cutting, the ICPF team performed a series of Christmas carols. The sweet harmonies and festive tunes brought the audience into the true Christmas spirit, with many joining in the singing. The carols filled the air with a sense of celebration and joy.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, delivered by Dr Jeeva George. She expressed gratitude to all the organizers, participants, and attendees for their contributions in making the celebration memorable. She also thanked the guests for their inspiring messages and wished everyone a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
