Bridge Course
The bridge course is conducted for newly admitted students of B. Pharm first semester, Pharm D first year, M. Pharm first semester, D. Pharm first year and Post baccalaureate Pharm D first year before the commencement of the regular classes.
The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap between subjects studied at Pre-university level and subjects they would be studying in pharmacy.
The syllabus for the course is framed in such a way that equal importance is given to both pharmacy discipline and personality development which include language skills and first aid. The duration of this course was for 7 days with 30 hrs. All the students are trained in subjects such as Communicative English, Communicative Kannada, Examination System and First Aid. Apart from these a bridge course, Introduction to Pharmacy is designed for undergraduate Pharmacy students, while Computer skills bridge course was designed for Post Graduate students.
Lab tour is conducted as a part of bridge course for the students where they visited all the undergraduate and post graduate laboratories to understand the research infrastructure and importance of practical sessions.
The bridge courses are designed to support new students as they begin their journey at our institution. The sound grasp of the fundamentals of the pharmacy subjects lays the strong foundation for the entire two/four/six year pharmacy programme.
